Burr Brown OPA2134PA OP AMP for the tube screamer and other overdrive pedals.\u00a0 I have been asked for this op amp several times and have recently sourced some and have a few spares to sell. This op amps low noise and excellent sound properties make it a popular choice with pedal modders. Sounds great in a Boss SD-1. There is a little more edge than a JRC4558D or RC4558P and is cleaner with a flatter EQ which makes it a great chip to tame the mids of a Tube Screamer or SD-1. Very rich and defined gain with excellent harmonics and note detail. You cant go wrong with this chip. Highly recommended. Comes packed in plastic bag with polystyrene protection slab. 8 Pin IC Socket<\/p><\/div>\n

The best way to install an op amp is with an IC socket soldered onto your board which allows you to simply push fit the op amp into the socket so you don’t risk damaging the op amp from excessive heat. If you require an Op Amp socket to be fitted into your pedal and are not comfortable doing it yourself feel free to request Dexter Mods to do the installation for you with an IC Socket. If installing yourself note that there is a notch on one end of the socket. There is also a notch on each op amp, these must match. You will note on your PCB there is a notch marker where the op amp goes so match it all up, then check it all twice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
