Boss pedals are invariably good sounding pedals with a good bypass system that is rarely enhanced by true bypass mods. They are well built and made to last. Most of the shortcomings in the circuits can be fixed by simply using higher grade parts than the mass produced pedals use. There are also a number of tweaks that the designers missed that make enormous improvements to these pedals tone.
